With all the news focussing on the new white paper, we thought we would try and spread some happiness and offer something amazing and affordable to our local area.

One of our team, who have been with us for a while and has lived experience of ND, is now an OT Apprentice, and as a result we have the opportunity to offer more affordable OT from now until April 17th.

Let's celebrate our strengths and understand ourselves and use that information to enable us to climb higher heights and do what WE really want to do.

Details below, email me for a chat and we can set something up. This will only be in Windsor, Maidenhead, Bracknell and close surrounding areas.

I hope this is useful for some families.

Sharon :)

I know today’s SEND white paper announcement is bringing up a lot of thoughts, questions, and strong feelings for many of you.

So I’ve pulled together a clear, simple overview to help you make sense of what’s been shared, without the overwhelm.

This is an emotive topic. It affects children, young people, families, and the professionals supporting them. It’s okay to feel worried, hopeful, frustrated, or unsure.

But as always, a gentle reminder of our community guidelines — this is a space for respectful, supportive discussion. Different perspectives are welcome, but personal attacks, blame, or undesirable/harmful language won’t be.

If you’ve been trying to understand what this means for your child or your setting, this is a good place to start.

Focus on your CONNECTION with your teen. When they feel connected to you and safe with you - not judged, not constantly corrected - your words carry far more weight, your guidance lands softer, and your influence grows stronger. Connection keeps the door open long after lectures and power struggles would have slammed it shut.

Yes it absolutely does 😢

Yes it absolutely does 😢

When one child struggles, the whole family feels it.

School non attendance isn’t a “behaviour issue.”
It ripples through every part of a family’s life:
💛Siblings become anxious.
💛Parents become exhausted.
💛Relationships stretch.
💛Everyone worries about the future.

And yet… so many families are told they are overreacting. They are not. You are not.

💛Your child’s difficulty is real.
💛Your fear is real.
💛Your need for support is real.

We built these resources because we have lived this too.
