We are looking for some dedicated individuals to join our small care home. If you are more a night owl but don’t want permanent hours, we have an opening for someone to do sleep-ins at £75 a night rising to £90 if you are disturbed to give support during the night to our residents. We are so glad to be back after a 2 year hiatus, and this year officially marks our 10th year anniversary for EHM Events.

As we are starting early we will also have The Food Dude on standby ready to prepare some of the lushest burgers you will find in dorset! Our close friend Mr Rudge will be on hand in his coffee box delivering hot brews through out the day and evening and the odd cold drink too!.

Waking Night Support Worker

We are seeking caring individuals who want to be part of a friendly company our care home in Swanage, on a permanent Waking Night contract. You will work as part of a team supporting our residents with learning disabilities, providing practical support as well as encouraging independence consistent with the wishes of the residents and the requirements of the management. As required by central government you will need to be doubly vaccinated against Covid 19 and be willing to have any future vaccinations including the flu jab. You will be required to wear a surgical mask throughout your shift.

Continental shift work pattern, 4 on 4 off rolling rota 365 days of the year, (which allows for a great home-work life balance)

21 days holiday +1 day for birthdays, so effectively 22 days holiday entitlement .

You will be required to work Bank holidays and festive periods, but will receive a day off in lieu at discretion of management.

An hourly rate of ÂŁ8.99 (ÂŁ9.88) during probationary period rising to ÂŁ9.25 (ÂŁ10.18) on successful completion of probation.

If you are in possession of a level 3 Health and Social Care qualification you will receive ÂŁ9.75 (ÂŁ10.73)

The effective hourly rate in brackets is based on the 1 hour paid break when working 10 hrs or more on site

We actively encourage staff to professionally develop and will financially support relevant qualifications, especially a NVQ/QCF/RQF level 3 in Health and Social Care.

We are a progressive company looking to improve on our carbon footprint and have introduced ideas such as an Electric Vehicle for use by our residents.

We encourage staff to cycle to work and will support the cycle to work scheme

We have an allotment that is part of the residents’ activities and they help produce some of our own fruit and vegetables for use in the home and we encourage staff to make use of this commodity also as there is always space for staff to plant something for themselves

We are passionate about being part of the wider community, so have installed an AED unit on site not just for use in the home but for the benefit of the local community.

We provide sufficient PPE to work safely with extensive training on the use of PPE.
