Motherhood & trying to balance life
I want to share a blog, on something because it’s how I’m feeling and something that I don’t think is talked about enough, and honestly I’m overwhelmed and want to cry.
What’s the art to balancing life?
Trying to focus on my work goals, and projects, making sure my child’s needs are all met, keeping the house clean, keeping on top of my self care and mental health.
Struggling with time management when it’s the holidays.. nursary breaks..
oh and the amount of times your child gets sick and then you get sick ( cus nursary is a breeding ground of bugs)
Doing all this without a village, without a partner, doing all this as a single solo parent! I’m at my wits end today, I’m exhausted, energy fatigue from travel on the weekend, then river had sickness bug, so bleaching and washing everything, then today.. I’m zapped out and my body aches… and we have 2 weeks Easter holiday coming up.
So what’s the answer to balancing it all, as a single solo parent… ??
Honestly right now, I think it’s taking it day by day. If things don’t get done.. f**k it.
So long as my child’s needs are met, and my mental health is in check.. that’s all that matters at this stage.
So if you’re a single solo parent, and all the responsibilities fall to you… it’s okay to cry and scream, it’s okay to feel rubbish, and a little fragile… just prioritise what’s truly important. You and your child’s health. ♥️ it’s something I have to remind myself of a lot, their only young once.. and the time does go very quick.
Take slow steps each day, prioritise and create schedules…
My steps today… rest, rest my mind that’s on overdrive, and film day 💞
Once Iv picked up River from nursary and we have gone for our daily walk.
And I’m sharing this blog, because I think it’s healthy to express when we are feeling the struggles of trying to balance life or having a bad day. Things won’t always be this way, and it’s better to share and have support than to suffer alone and bottle things up. So writing is a good tool to express… ♥️ and the good stuff in life, does outweigh the struggles.
So don’t give up, because tomorrow’s a new day.
