I'll be at the Wellbeing Link Christmas Pamper Event on Saturday 22nd November offering Neuroflexology. A full treatment will be given in your 20 minute time slot for £16.
You will need to rest at home for an hour afterwards to give you time to respond to the treatment. This 'less is more' treatment may benefit anxious states and joint problems although it may help with other conditions as well. Ideal in these stressful times now that the cold and damp winter months are approaching. You can book in advance (see poster) or turn up.on the day. Look forward to seeing you there as this is a popular venue for me. ✨🌞 ✨

Sometimes even though you're doing the very best for yourself by having your chosen Complementary Therapy, of all things the Autumn weather of fog mist drizzle or rain along with shorter days will show up the pain of joint problems that you had forgotten about during the warmer Summer months. At a time like this it's important to maintain your wellbeing by boosting your immune system through Reflexology which may help.prevent Winter viruses and Neuroflexology may ease pain by reducing inflammation.

Sometimes a client gets on my treatment couch, settles down and says "Reflexology, my favourite time of the week". 👣

Sometimes a client will have a very good response to their treatment from maybe immediately afterwards, or a few days after, until a few days before the next treatment is due, then the original symptoms suddenly return. So what does this mean?
It means you are ready for your next treatment! Working with nature can take time for your holistic self to reset. Your mind body and spirit has recognised the place you were in before your symptoms began. Following your treatment plan and the timing of it is really important as we work towards extending the time that your symptoms may improve until only regular maintenance treatments are needed.

Sometimes it's common for an old injury to flare up after a Complementary Therapy treatment. Do you remember the time you fell off the swing in the park when you were a child then just brushed the pain off with a few tears and ran to catch up with your friends? Or perhaps fell and sprained your ankle and did nothing about it because you had to go to work? It can be very painful, maybe even stop you in your tracks from continuing with your day. You wonder whether you should do something about it. You may feel bewildered by it. Just remind yourself that you have had a Complementary Therapy treatment. Listen to your body telling you to slow down and mend. Take time to rest, relax and drink fresh water. Let nature take its course. Sometimes that surge of pain will only last for twenty minutes or so then as suddenly as the pain or sensation began, it disappears. This is a perfect example of your body healing naturally.

Sometimes a client books their usual preferred Complementary Therapy and then changes their mind on arrival for their appointment. This is not a problem, all treatments are available, it may just mean that I have to re-arrange the products I need to use, adjust the therapy couch, check whether the treatment requested is suitable by completing a new Consultation form. I certainly encourage a client using their own intuition to choose a treatment that feels right for them at the time, just bear in mind you may be in the middle of a treatment plan that had not concluded yet.

Sometimes a Complementary Therapist has to rely on a testimonial to further help a client decide which therapy to choose or whether to try another. This week I used a past testimonial to demonstrate that a previous client had benefitted from Neuroflexology for their plantar fasciitis condition.

I'll be at this event if you'd like to try a Neuroflexology treatment. 🌞

Sometimes even the Reflexologist can be surprised by a client's response to treatment. Recently a client arrived saying their neck felt clicky after doing some heavy lifting a few days before. After completing a full treatment and chakra balancing my client went home saying she would have time to rest and relax that evening. The next morning she messaged me to say she had had an unusual reaction. She had forgotten to tell me she was having problems with her teeth. A loose tooth on her left lower jaw and pain to the canine on her right lower jaw. She had woken up the next morning with the pain much improved. This shows that the mind and body will right itself naturally even when you're not expecting it, bringing healing where it's needed most first.

One of the things a Complementary Therapist has to consider is whether a client is suitable for treatment. Recently I had a client who had an infection on their feet and was taking antibiotics. The red flag went up in my mind. Infection passes easily and if my hands became infected I could pass infection on to another client, let alone go through the pain and discomfort myself. This would mean I could not work until the infection had cleared which for the Complementary Therapist means reduced income as many are self-employed.
Fortunately with Reflexology or Neuroflexology it's possible to treat the hands, so with thorough hand hygiene for both of us the treatment plan went ahead. 😀🌞
