Hereās the thingā¦there is no PAUSE button when it comes to weight gain.
We may decide that weāre feeling too poorly to food optimise, we may decide the weather is too gloomy to count our syns, we may decide weāre too tired to be 100% this week or we may decide weāre simply too busy to plan our food optimised meals.
We may also go a step further and decide that any of these things are enough to stop us from going to group for now too.
And thatās absolutely our choice to make.
Which is fineā¦as long as we remember that, during those weeks, our weight WILL STILL CHANGE. We may have taken āa breakā but we have not pressed PAUSE. The damage will still be done and when that break is over we may be left wishing we had a REWIND or FAST FORWARD button too!
And that damage is often enough to make us feel so bad that we press the STOP button and end our weight loss journey completely.
So however tempting it is to hit that PAUSE button in our heads letās just try and stay focused on the PLAY button instead ā even if we have to keep our finger pressed down on it for a while until it becomes a little easier for us! x
