We’re thrilled to be supporting Matthew's House Swansea as our charity of the year! 💙

Our staff have been volunteering at Matt’s Café, helping with meal prep, serving, and lending a hand wherever needed. The feedback has been amazing – it’s been a truly humbling and rewarding experience.

Work has officially started on Greenhill Gardens — a beautiful new heritage greenspace for our city!

Over the next few months, things might look a little different with some entrances changing and safety work happening. But we will stay open!🚧

🩸The Homeless Period Swansea Awareness Month is coming up in May, and we need your help!

Every year we mark the month of May to tackle period and hygiene poverty for people who are homeless or struggling in Swansea.

Each Tuesday we have dignity packs available for people to collect, filled with essential sanitary and hygiene items. Currently we are giving out 30-50 packs a week!

The aim of this month is to raise awareness, collect much-needed donations for our dignity packs, and distribute packs across Swansea. We would love your support to make this month a success and spread to word!

🏠Hosting a Street Collection is a great way of gathering donations from people in your local area (but could also be a family, workplace or friends collection). We will send you out a pack with leaflets and a list of items we would love!

Simply send an email to friends@matthewshouse.org.uk and we'll get you everything you need to get started. Donations can be dropped back to Matthew's House before Friday 2nd May.

🌿✨ Happy Social Prescribing Day! ✨🌿

Today, we’re celebrating the power of nature, community, and meaningful connections in supporting health and wellbeing – and what better way to mark the occasion than by shouting about the farm’s very own Dr. Katharine! 🎉

Yep, little did you know… our brilliant Operations Manager, Katharine, is actually Dr. Katharine Aylett – and she has recently had a paper published alongside Dr. Menna Brown, Senior Lecturer at Swansea University.

💡"Interrogating Green Social Prescribing in South Wales; A Multi-Stakeholder Qualitative Exploration" explores how nature-based activities can be a game-changer for health and wellbeing. 🌱 Their research dives into different perspectives on green social prescribing, which is exactly what today is all about – recognising that many health challenges, like loneliness, isolation, anxiety and stress, can’t be treated with medicine alone.

Their findings reinforce the power of social prescribing – connecting people to non-medical support, like farm volunteering, can be truly life-changing.

A massive congratulations to Katharine and Menna – we’re so lucky to have them leading the way! 👏✨
