With the sun out in full force, we couldn’t resist making the most of it! On a scorching +29°C summer’s day, we hosted a fun-filled splash party in the garden ☀️💦 🔫 Residents and staff joined in water games and friendly competitions, with laughter and smiles all around. Two brave staff members even took the plunge into the paddling pool! To top it all off, an ice cream van arrived and treated everyone to delicious scoops 🍦the perfect way to end a fantastic day in the sun ☀️

🍓Lovely Afternoon at Gower PYO Farm 🍓

With the sun spoiling us, we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and take a trip to Gower to pick some fresh berries. ☀️ After filling our baskets with delicious strawberries and raspberries, the ladies enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine and had fun making wildflower crowns. 💐

We brought back several large baskets of fresh berries for all the residents to enjoy at the home, a sweet treat from a wonderful day out! 🍓🍰🫖☀️

We had a lovely Easter celebration at Glais House last week! 🐣🎉🎈A big thank you to all the families and friends who came along. 🤗 A huge shoutout to our amazing kitchen team for putting on another fantastic spread, and to all our wonderful staff for making it such a fun day with games and activities 👏🏻🌟

As we step into the New Year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful year we’ve shared together.
Thank you to our amazing staff for your hard work and dedication. Your efforts turn this house into a home filled with love and care, and we couldn’t be prouder of all we’ve achieved this year! ✨
We would also like to thank to all the families and our residents for your trust and support. Together, we’ve created many beautiful memories, from special events to everyday moments of joy.
Here’s to another year of shared laughter, meaningful connections, and cherished memories. All of us at Glais House wish you a Happy New Year filled with good health, happiness, and peace🎄

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! 🎄 We’ve had a busy festive season filled with activities, outings, and events, and we’d love to share some wonderful memories from December. ✨
At the start of the festive season, we were invited to a community lunch at Manor Park. A big thanks to the lovely Val for the invitation, we truly enjoyed it! 🤗
We also had a visit from local Swansea Christmas carol singers, where residents, families, and staff were filled with Christmas spirit as they enjoyed the carols and cup of hot chocolate. ☕️ 🎶🎄
Just over a week ago, a group of residents attended another community Christmas party at Swansea Bay University. They had a fantastic time playing bingo, singing along, dancing, and enjoying a delicious Christmas dinner. 🎅🏼
In between these events, we had visits from local school children, enjoyed outings to a local pub and shopping trips, and, of course, hosted our annual Christmas Party. We’ll be sharing photos from that very soon! 📸🎁
Thank you to everyone who visited our home and brought festive cheer to us! ✨ We’re also incredibly grateful for all the community party invitations and to everyone who joined us in our events and outings. ❤️ Your participation helped make December wonderfully festive and fun! 🤩🎄
