💬 A little reflection from earlier today…

While sat in a café, I noticed a man in a powered wheelchair enter with what appeared to be his carer. What struck me most wasn’t their presence—but the silence. The carer looked disengaged, bored, and didn’t interact at all. It genuinely made me feel sad for the gentleman, who deserved so much more than just someone being there.

If you’re in a caring role—whether as a personal assistant or working for a company—please remember that care is so much more than tasks. It’s about connection, compassion, and making someone feel seen and valued.

To be clear, not all carers are like this. In fact, the vast majority are incredible, dedicated, and make a huge difference every single day. But it only takes one bad experience to cast a shadow—and that’s why it’s so important to get it right.

Let’s raise the standard together ❤️
