Hands-on holistic treatments are tailored to individual needs to help with a wide range of acute and chronic pains and conditions. EST. 2019
Hello and welcome to all,
Zeanne's (pronounced like ‘Leanne’ but with a ‘z’!) osteopathic journey began 7 years ago when experiencing osteopathic treatment as both a patient and observer with a family friend osteopath. Meanwhile, medicine was the study pathway that Zeanne was aiming to undertake as she shadowed and spoke with many medical professionals including other osteopaths, patients, family and friends about their experiences of healthcare:
Most patients were dissatisfied with medical care due to long waiting lists, short consultation times, rarely feeling that their needs were being listened to or met. Hopelessness was another recurring theme, with no solution offered for their pains and ailments other than management through medication or surgery, which often resulted in ill-effects. From the practitioners’ side, they felt more often than not over-worked and underappreciated. Some patients reported temporary benefit from physical therapy and massage and were more satisfied with the overall service. The physical therapists themselves also seemed more content with their profession. Massage and physical exercise therapy were therefore strong contenders, but Osteopathy just had that extra special something for me. TIME, to listen and to care about my patients with consultation times of at least 30 minutes. NO LONG WAITING LISTS, easy bookings the same week or even day if there is availability. NATURAL hands-on therapy which works with the body’s self-healing mechanisms, not against and without the undesired effects of surgery and medication. HOLISTIC, not just looking at a single body part, but taking into consideration your whole body, environmental and social factors that may be contributing to your problem. LONGER-LASTING positive effects. RESOLVES rather than masks the problem. BALANCE, between work and personal life. On Zeanne went to study and practice osteopathy at Swansea University and attained a Masters after 4 years, during which she also gained her kinesiology taping qualification and completed a post graduate course in Balanced Ligamentous Tension, a technique used in the cranial branch of osteopathy which is suitable for all body types, ages and complaints. Zeanne's years as osteopathic student are however, not over. Passionate about osteopathy, she is excited and strives to learn more about the art of natural body healing as she continues to practice and attend yearly courses. Outside of osteopathy she is a keen rock climber and yoggie who also dabbles with arts and crafts. She has recently started to learn to play the piano. Zeanne welcomes all new patients, helping those in and around Swansea as well as other surrounding communities who wish to receive professional care in the art of body healing. No ache or pain is too great or small and deserves the attention you give it. Osteopathic treatment is suitable for people from all walks of life and can probably help with whatever you’re suffering with - you’d be surprised. So please don’t hesitate to contact Zeanne on 07307853154 with any queries you might have. Zeanne looks forward to welcoming you at the Swansea Wellbeing Centre on Walter Road and providing you with professional care in the art of natural body healing as she helps you achieve your health and well-being goals.
