Optometry Wales is supporting a multi-agency road safety initiative as part of , helping to raise awareness of the important role vision plays in safe driving.

During roadside stops, drivers are being offered the opportunity to take a voluntary number-plate eyesight check, providing a valuable moment to discuss the visual standards required for driving and the importance of maintaining good eye health.

Drivers are also reminded of the benefits of regular eye examinations, including free NHS sight tests in Wales for people aged 60+ and other eligible groups through WGOS.

This initiative is ongoing, and if you would like to support or get involved, please contact us.
