HMT Sancta Maria is a not-for-profit hospital located in Swansea, Wales.

We work with the UK’s leading consultants to provide a full range of healthcare services to private and NHS referral patients. As part of the healthcare charity, The Healthcare Management Trust, HMT Sancta Maria Hospital is a not-for-profit organisation. As such, we have no shareholders and our surpluses are used to support dementia charities, educational grants, and medical research around ageing. Our mission is to improve the health, wellbeing and independence of people in our care and quality and safety lie at the heart of everything we do. It is very important to us to be a part of the health community and work in conjunction with our NHS colleagues to provide the communities we serve with a high quality, modern healthcare services

The ulnar nerve goes round and to the back of the inner side of your elbow (sometimes called your ‘funny bone’). It then goes through a tight tunnel between the forearm muscles. If the tunnel becomes too tight, it can cause pressure on the nerve, usually resulting in numbness in your ring and little ringers.

Here at Sancta Maria, we can perform an ulnar nerve release which may improve your symptoms and should prevent permanent nerve damage.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition where there is increased pressure on a nerve that crosses the front of your wrist, causing numbness in your thumb, index and middle fingers.
