Thehomelessperiodswansea Awareness Month is coming up in May and we need your help! 🙏🏼

Each year we use the month of May to tackle period and hygiene poverty for people who are homeless or struggling in Swansea.

Every Tuesday we have dignity packs available for people to collect, filled with essential sanitary and hygiene items. Currently we are giving out 30 to 50 packs a week! 😮

The aim of the month is to raise awareness, collect much-needed donations for our dignity packs, and distribute packs across Swansea. We would love your support to make this month a success and spread to word!

There are so many ways you can get involved in helping Matthew's House Swansea, Matt's Cafe and The Homeless Period deliver this much needed service.

Simply send an email to friends@matthewshouse.org.uk and we'll get you everything you need to get started for a Street Collection.

We’ll also be in local supermarkets collecting donations.

WHHHHAAAAAAT!!!!

What started as a venture to help support me during my Master's degree in Nutrition, has now become something that fills me with so much joy.

It's not been without it's ups and downs. There have been multiple break downs along the way; feeling like a total imposter; and forever worrying about money, irrespective of how business is doing.

But it's also been a huge opportunity of growth; helping people to hear again; learning about website development and marketing; putting myself out there; picking myself up despite the set-backs.

With nearly 3 years of business we have:
- examined ~ 3500 ears
- travelled thousands of miles
- posted leaflets, and been bitten by a dog in the process
- navigated several tech issues
- had the car wrapped
- posted 100s of GP referrals
- had several broken machines
- relied more on word of mouth and google searches, than instagram followers
- had appointments on bank holidays
- taken phone calls abroad

Success in business can mean different things for different people. For myself, it's been helping each and every one of you to hear again, and feeling grateful for your appreciation.

I will continue to provide aural care through Clearear by Holly, but I will now take some of the confidence gained from Clearear by Holly to help me on my new venture as a Nutritionist, Nourish by Holly.

Starting something new is incredibly scary, but if I can do it, you definitely can!
