First aid classes and qualification courses across South Wales including Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf, The Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly & surrounding areas. We are the franchise owners of Mini First Aid Swansea, The Vale & Valleys. We offer a range of first aid classes including a 2 hour baby and child first aid awareness class, children's classes (suitable from age 3 upwards) as well as accredited and certified qualification courses. Our Multi Award winning classes are delivered in a relaxed and comfortable style and give you confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency. We are both GPs in the local area as well as parents to a little girl who has recently turned one. As parents we understand some of the worries you might be going through with your own little ones. We both love teaching and would love to be able to share our knowledge and experience with you at our first aid classes. 💚 Our story so far

Driving home from a little family break, we realised it’s been over three years since we joined Mini First Aid, and what a journey it’s been!

We’re Lowri & Ryan, parents to two busy little ones (4 & 1) and the team behind Mini First Aid Swansea, Bridgend, The Vale & Caerphilly. We’re both local GPs, and Ryan also lectures at Cardiff Medical School.

You might notice our new name! We were previously Mini First Aid Swansea, The Vale & Valleys. We have updated to make it clearer where we cover (and yes, it’s quite a stretch of South Wales 💚).

Over the last few years, we’ve had our fair share of real-life first aid moments, from cuts and head bumps to burns, broken bones and even cardiac arrests. Each one has reminded us that emergencies can happen when you least expect them, and how important it is to stay calm and act quickly.

Our aim is to help families, schools and workplaces feel calm, confident and prepared when it matters most, through relaxed, hands-on sessions that apply to real-life situations.

We have met incredible people since starting up. Thank you so much to everyone for being part of our journey so far, we are looking forward to the next chapter.

One day, you could be called upon to save a life…would you know what to do?

We’re supporting the Resuscitation Council UK today with their annual Restart A Heart campaign.

Today, our Mini First Aid team will teach hundreds of parents, carers, children and workers how to carry out CPR on all ages.

You never know when someone you love might need help, or when you might be the closest bystander in an emergency. Survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest remain low in the UK, with fewer than one in ten people surviving.

Everyone has it in them to save a life. Do something incredible today and book a first aid class! 💚

Yes… that’s us sneaking Ted out of the house after bedtime! 🤫🐻

He’s off with Lowri to St David’s Primary Catholic School in Swansea this morning for one of our Mini First Aid Early Years classes. 💚

Our children have become very fond of this particular team member. He’s actually Ted 2.0… our first brown bear (lovingly renamed Nicholas by our eldest!) had to retire early after a little too much love and attention. 🧸

So now, Operation Sneak Ted Out happens after bedtime, just so no one spots him leaving. The things we do as parents! 😅

At Mini First Aid, we’re proud to support World Meningitis Day, a global day of action led by Meningitis Research Foundation. With around 40% of meningitis deaths occurring in children under five, this is an issue that deeply concerns parents and carers.

Do you know what a febrile seizure is? More often than not, when a parent attends our class it is the first time they have ever heard of febrile seizures.

Whilst we don't want to frighten parents, we feel it's better to be forewarned and forearmed. After all, if your child experiences a febrile seizure and you have never heard of it, it is likely to be an extremely distressing experience.
