opened the register in leicester
and there he saw it
double wrapped in bubble wrap
next to a slice of lime.
he'd been searching
such a long long time
from abu dabi to aberdovey
and here it finally was
a sprig of thyme
lying on a smothered chicken's breast
like barbed wire across the desert slime
