SCAM ALERT

To all of our followers please be vigilant. We have been made aware of a scam that is currently taking place where the caller purports to be from BT.

You will be told that there is a fault on the BT lines locally and that you need to download an App in order to allow them to rectify the fault. The App, if downloaded, will allow the scammer to take control of your telephone including any personal and financial information. This morning we became aware of a local lady who was scammed out of almost £2,000.

Thankfully, after calls to Report Fraud and her bank, she has been reimbursed in full however this has caused her a great deal of distress.
