2026 is a very special year for Bater & Stout Opticians.

On the 1st of March 1986 Mr Lindsay Bater opened his doors as Bater Opticians and 40 years later we continue the proud Legacy of the original practice on Clase Road.

Today we're unveiling our Anniversary Logo, highlighting our commitment to caring for the good people of Morriston and beyond.

It's been 2 weeks since the team was away for the Hakim Group annual retreat.

We mixed with like-minded colleagues, viewed the ranges of the suppliers we stock and may stock in the future and heard the insights of Sir Lenny Henry, Jake Humphrey and Johnny Wilkinson to name but a few... and then in the evening enjoyed the spectacle of The Great Gatsby themed evening bash.

This is Maisie, one of our two amazing Optometrists.

She's recently qualified as an Independent Prescribing Optometrist, allowing her to provide even greater levels of care for patients by being able to prescribe certain medications. Not only that, but she now has a Professional Certificate in Medical Retina, giving her increased skills and knowledge in diagnosing retinal conditions.

Congratulations Maisie on your new qualifications!

She's also a Birthday girl tomorrow, so join us in saying a big Happy Birthday!
