Scrumptious Cacao with Ginger and Cassia oils gave a warm and spicy delicious taste and uplifting aroma…perfect after a cold Winter walk.
✨❄️ 🥾 ☕️ 🫘❤️ ✨

Cacao is an alternative stimulant to coffee and a healthier alternative to hot chocolate. Containing nutrients such as magnesium and arginine, anti oxidants and flavonoids, it can be beneficial for heart and brain health too.

💛 Ginger oil is beneficial for indigestion, inflammation and pain relief.

🧡 Cassia oil (cinnamon bark) supports blood sugar, digestion and cleansing, cardiovascular health and immune function.

💧doTerra oils are pure and potent and Certified Pure Tested Grade and therefore therapeutic grade oils (CPTG). Get in Touch if you’d like to source oils or know more 💧
Using the oils instead of the powdered spices, brought this drink to a whole other level of deliciousness 😍

✨I used Plenish oat milk
(no nasties) and a little coconut sugar and touch of organic maple as the cacao was unsweetened, to take the edge off the bitter cacao (though the liver loves bitter if you can maintain that flavour too) ✨

As we move into the next season, it’s a great opportunity to pause after the high energy ‘doing’ of Summer and allow ourselves to align with Nature once again….easing towards the Yin phase of Winter…of more ‘being’ and inward reflection…
where could we bring things more into balance in our lives…..which areas need our attention?

Gratitude for the abundance of the Autumn Harvest. It’s a good time for finishing off projects, decluttering our homes & emotions, slowing down and preparing for Winter….letting go of what we’ve outgrown, that which no longer aligns…the more we hold on, the more we suffer…
Maybe it’s time to develop a more balanced routine to nourish & nurture ourselves…..🧡🙏

A Solstice eve sunset stroll, followed by a nourishing cacao mushroom latte. Sipped in the starlight under a rustling tree. Taking a moment to ‘be’ present…..dropping down into all of my senses….the warm, rich, frothy flavours, aroma and smooth texture….experiencing the breeze through sound and skin….Summer Solstice is almost here…but for now some stillness ….mirroring the pause of the Solstice sun 🌞 💛

Recipe: Cacao Mushroom Latte 🧡

1 tsp mushroom blend powder
2-3 tsp cacao powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp maple syrup/coconut sugar/natural sweetener to taste
Pinch of pink salt
Your choice of milk (I used homemade oat)

Warm the milk and blend with all the ingredients in a high speed blender for 30 seconds or until smooth and frothy. Enjoy! 🧡

(Not recommended near bedtime as cacao is a stimulant and source of natural caffeine).
Caution: if you are on antidepressants, SSRIs or other medication, have a heart condition or are pregnant, please be aware that the theobromine in cacao is a vasodilator.
