The Speech Clinic is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to work with our adult and paediatric clients across Bournemouth and the South Coast.
We have clinic sessions in Bournemouth and home and school visits across the region, including complex special needs school-based provision.
The community caseload is mixed adult and paediatric ranging from preschool complex special-needs through to school-age speech, language and fluency. The special school caseload is complex paediatrics and learning disability.
There is a graduate recruitment program and you will work towards your newly qualified competences. We welcome interest from final year students, newly qualified and existing therapists.

The head teacher of Ysgol Y Deri Special School in Penarth, Chris Britten, has spoken about his fears that COVID-19 will make it even more difficult for his pupils to find jobs.

Mr Britten has spoken after the school has recently featured in a three part BBC documentary series. He added that,

"The children who attend are all unique and they bring something very special not only to the school, but society". We couldn't agree more.

The head of the UK's biggest special education school fears a more competitive labour market.

Two-year-old Eleanor Manton has been chosen to model for clothing brand JoJo Maman Bebe.

Eleanor's Mum, says, "I just want to raise awareness, that she is just like any other little girl and that having a child with Down's syndrome is a positive thing, not a negative".
