While I enjoy a foreign body removal, prevention is better than cure. A referral in from another practice this week for someone who had an argument with an angle grinder and wasn't wearing eye protection. Bit of digging with a very sharp needle followed by rust removal a couple of days later. Many thanks to for a spare burr as mine had gone AWOL

Having had 1 day off in the last 18 months or so it's time for a rest. We'll be closing at 5pm on December 23rd and open again at 9am on January 5th. Any urgent enquiries can be emailed or contacted via social media and for emergencies contact NHS 111 for advice. We'll see you all bright eyed and bushy tailed in the New year. So for context our normal social media posts get about 500 views so I think this is what is known as going bacterial! For those of you round the world who now follow our page, we're just a small independent opticians in Swansea. We were lucky enough that Kevin was running past the practice and I went out to support and cheer him on as one ultra marathoner to another. You don't often get to see greatness in action so it is a wonderful memory I will cherish forever
