As the Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day management of St. Brelades, leading a team of skilled professionals, and upholding Langland Care Limited’s commitment to exceptional service. Your role will be pivotal in creating a supportive and comfortable environment where residents can thrive, families feel assured, and staff feel motivated and valued.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, and lead a team of care professionals, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and continuous improvement.
Resident Care: Oversee and ensure the highest standards of care and service, tailored to meet individual resident needs, in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Compliance & Quality: Ensure that the home adheres to all relevant legislation and guidelines, achieving excellent ratings in quality and regulatory inspections.
Budget Management: Effectively manage the home’s budget, monitoring resources, and ensuring efficient operations within financial targets.
Community & Family Engagement: Foster positive relationships with residents’ families, local health professionals, and the community, promoting an open-door policy.
Health & Safety: Maintain a safe environment, adhering to all health and safety standards, including infection prevention measures.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement ongoing improvements in resident care, staff performance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience as a Care Home Manager, preferably in a similar setting
Registered Manager’s qualification and/or willingness to register with the Care Inspectorate Wales
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and CQC standards
Desirable:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Demonstrable track record of achieving high-quality care ratings
Personal Attributes:
Compassionate and resident-focused with strong interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
Financial acumen with experience in budget management
Skilled in team building, motivation, and staff development
