One of our Facebook supporters kindly highlighted the issue we are regularly facing with unsuitable donations being left next to our donations container outside our shop here in Gwydr Crescent. As a local charity, we rely on volunteers giving up their valuable time to work in our shop, and it is extremely unfair to expect them to have to spend time sifting through items which are generally unclean and not even fit for recycling. In addition to this, items left next to the container are then susceptible to getting wet in the rain, rendering them unsuitable for resale.
These actions mean that our charity has to pay for these to be collected, resulting in a cost which means less funds being available to provide our much needed counselling support to those affected by cancer
We are very grateful to donors who donate good quality clothing which we can then resell in our shop; the container is only meant for these donations. If you have items in need of recycling can you please take them to the local council recycling centres.

CISS is delighted to be the chosen charity when Tal Cox runs the Swansea 10k next month!

His Grandmother was one of the founder members of CISS who sadly passed away recently, and Tal is raising funds in her memory.

Hi! Our shop staff have been busy preparing this week's window!
