Thanks to Kevin, Andrew and Claire who all requested advice on whether or not you should stretch or foam roll the ITB.
Although it may feel good, we simply cannot produce the force needed (8000N) to “release” the ITB as many claim.
Any effects are most likely pain modulation via the nervous system.
Yet it continues to be peddled far and wide as a primary treatment for ITB issues.
Although it may have a place within someone’s regime if they enjoy it, heres a video explaining the more important things to address.
