An opening has become available in our team and with it a chance to be a small part of our organisational history - you could be our first ever hire as Young Swindon and Wiltshire!!

We are on the look out for a new Lead for Communities (Wiltshire) to join the team and lead on continuing and developing our quality youth work offer across . You'll blend a mixture of direct one to one work with leading our developing community youth work offer and our Care Leavers Project.

It's a really important and significant role for us so we'd really grateful for any shares and if you'd like to chat to Andy or Ben about it, please do get in touch.

To celebrate 25 years of working with young people, we are thrilled to share some very exciting news…

As of 1st December we will no longer be known as SMASH Youth Project, but will be changing our name to Young Swindon and Wiltshire! 💙💙💙

This follows on from a 12 month conversation with young people, creating name that best reflects their interests and our constant mission – to ensure young people get the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

So, what does this mean for you?

On 1st December, we will be changing our working name, logo, website URL, email addresses and social media handles. However, whilst Young Swindon and Wiltshire might look a little different, we are still the same brilliant team, doing the same innovative projects, empowering young people to reach their potential.

We will also be sharing more details in the coming weeks, meaning you’ll have plenty of time to find out more about the change ⏰

We cannot thank you enough for your support over the last 25 years, and look forward to you joining us on this new chapter!

We are incredibly grateful to The Walcot Community Shop for donating over £8000 worth of equipment to The Base Swindon.

They have been so kind and helpful in furnishing and equipping the different rooms at The Base.

Hayley absolutely loves showing off her gorgeous Hair and Beauty Salon and the young people have loved being able to use the equipment there - thanks to the Walcot Community Shop!

Check out the shop as they do so much to help their local community. ✨️
