Turning 5 was fun! 5️⃣🎉

I got a birthday cupcake 🧁 from my Auntie Lisa Pye at the dog show.

I walked for miles and miles 🛣️ in the sun, wind, rain and hail ahd made friends with new dogs.

I ate a s**t tonne of chicken 🍗 , snaffled all the treats 🍪 from my snuffle ball, chewed on my new octopus tentacles 🐙, slept, played with my mum, gave her cuddles🥰 and am almost ready for bed 🛌 so we can go to the seaside 🏝️ tomorrow….

Another wound unpack and repack this afternoon and I’m disappointed I’m not healing quickly enough… didn’t expect to be still be leaking by now.

Painful one today and I’m feeling fed up by from rotting from the inside out!

Feeling all of these emotions this afternoon….as I’m looking forward to my first bit of time off this year since Xmas and shingles - next month I’m manifesting no medical issues! 💪 😊

When your dog is so chill… you can take him to the hairdressers and he sits beautifully for the whole appointment and even manages to have a little nap on your lap.

So grateful to have only spent 1 hour waiting at Cirencester hospital today after my waiting time yesterday of almost 5 hours.

The wound got infected so I’m now on super antibiotics but it’s still weeping and needs unpacking and repacking along with a painful squeeze to clear the muck out on a daily basis.

I’ve still got Sunday and Monday to go but have wangled an 8.30am appointment there tomorrow so I’m sacrificing my only lie in opportunity to get poked and prodded and cleaned up so on my only day off I can get home and recuperate a bit.

Still working on Monday but only in the morning until it’s all back to normal on Tuesday when I hopefully find out if I can go to every other day of medical help.

I think I’m getting better but I did just tell the delivery driver Happy New Year so I clearly have a way to go!

Exhausted after my 2 hour nap… 😴

Sebastian is keeping a close chin on his new chew! 🥰

Update on my health….

I was told yesterday by the nurse not to train, not to work, not to do anything much with my right arm which has a deep and wide open wound on it from the infected cyst removal… I can’t even hold Sebastian’s lead in my right hand. 🐕 😔

I have to go to the doctors/hospital every day for the following week to have the wounds packing taken out and replaced (🤮 yes this is as gross and painful as it sounds) and take painkillers every 4 hours. After that it might change to every other day…this will allow the “hole” to repair from the inside out as long as I follow the rules…

For someone expecting to get some antibiotics to clear up the infection, this has all escalated wildly and I’m really struggling. 🥺

So I’m going to need to ask for your help please (current clients scheduled in over the next couple of weeks) I’m going to listen to the medical advice about no training 😬🙄, I will hold the lead in my left hand and turn up to let them hurt me daily but what I can’t do is not work. I’m sure you will appreciate why… 🙏

So Im asking for a little help with the kit, getting certain things out, moving things and packing items away if I can’t solely do it with my left arm… I hate to ask but this is the only way I can keep working and earning enough to pay for Sebastian’s dog treats! 🐶 😉

I’ve had a bit of a day…. Noticed a cyst on my shoulder which I’d had for at least 8 years, change suddenly in a week and become bigger, painful and red.

Went to the GP this morning to get some antibiotics to clear it up and got sent up to the Surgical Assessment Unit… 🏥

Offered a choice of a general so they could cut it out whilst I was under for 4-6 hours wait or a local anaesthetic and cut it out in 20 minutes… I had the car in the car park and my pup 🐶 at home on his own so no choice really…

… big girl knickers 🩲 on and 5 injections 💉 💉 💉 💉 💉 into my shoulder and the 5cm by 5cm nasty chopped out 🦠 and I didn’t squeal once! 😮

So if you’re waiting for me to reply/answer a message, please bear with me, I’m getting onto them now before I have the earliest night ever! ⏰ I’m so tired… 🥱

This was not the day I planned, however all PT sessions are on as usual tomorrow. 👍🏼

I needed a productive start to today, after a week of full on fatigue and health issues.

Up early despite the clock change:-

* All PT admin and programming completed ✅

* Second load of washing done ✅

* 6 meals prepped and ready for the coming week - Salmon pistachio and feta bulgur wheat, Yellow Thai Tofu Curry and Harissa Prawns and Chickpea Tagine ✅

*First dog walk of the day about to start… pending…. 🚶 🐕

Feeling better already just to have my day under control early on, might crash/nap later but so far so good! 💪

Ann is 77 (sharing with her permission) and she’s currently my oldest client. I’m so glad I got my qualification in training older adults….

Ann has had one knee replacement already and is waiting for her second op on the other knee and so whilst she waits we are working to strengthen her leg muscles so that her recovery will be easier, quicker and she won’t have as much downtime.

It’s an absolute pleasure to work with Ann as she’s very determined, hugely passionate about staying active and gives me great recommendations for trips to gin distilleries!
