Latissimus Dorsi!
This why some of my clients say they have pain around the Bra line and it goes into their lower back which feels "a deep pinchy pain" when they move their arm and they usually think it's coming from the scapula. Whilst it is used in shoulder movement it doesn't actually attach to the scapula! It sits over it, as the Latissimus-Scapula Overlap so in certain movements such as arm elevation the muscle slides over the scapula as the scapula moves. Over extention of this muscle from poor posture, lifting above your head, rowing and arm rotation can cause the muscle to be locked long and make it less effective, causing pain and discomfort... sitting at a desk all day slightly slumped over, rotating your hand and arm inward to have your hand flat on a mouse? Pushing and pulling movements due to work? THIS is why I say sports massage isn't just for sporty people
