A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage is often seen as a spa treatment, when in fact this is something that has been practiced in most cultures throughout human history. When our bodies are chronically tensed, it has an awful effect on the body and the mind. Blood cannot flow to certain areas due to restriction, meaning we aren’t getting the right amount of nutrients and oxygen to vital areas which can also cause pain. Massage interrupts such stress in the body, and helps it back into its natural state, relieving tension in the muscles and breaking down the fibres. Regular Massage has psychological and physical benefits that we all need to keep us healthy. Developing a good connection with your therapist is also important as massage is about the energy that flows through, so it is vital you feel comfortable and can completely relax. Look after yourselves from the inside out, our bodies and our mind is important.

Soft Tissue Therapy isn’t just for athletes — it’s for anyone noticing their body isn’t moving or feeling the way it should.

If you experience any of these signs regularly, your muscles may be holding onto more tension than you realise.
Soft Tissue Therapy can help by releasing tight areas, improving mobility, and restoring healthier movement patterns.

Techniques I use include:
• Advanced massage
• Trigger point work
• Soft Tissue Release
• Dry needling (when appropriate)
• MET & PIR
• Mobility and movement therapy

Every session is tailored to your body and what it needs most.

If any of these signs feel familiar, book a session to start feeling the difference.

Muscle tightness isn’t always about “overuse” — it’s often your body responding to the stresses of daily life.
Long hours sitting, disrupted sleep, emotional stress, training load, and even dehydration can all cause your muscles to guard, shorten, and hold tension.

When this becomes consistent, you may notice:
• Stiffness first thing in the morning
• A “heavy” or tight feeling through your neck and shoulders
• Sharp twinges with certain movements
• Reduced flexibility
• Muscle fatigue that doesn’t seem to ease

Soft Tissue Therapy helps by:
✔ Releasing built-up muscle tension
✔ Improving circulation
✔ Restoring mobility
✔ Calming an overactive nervous system
✔ Supporting healthier movement patterns

If your body is giving you signs that it’s holding too much tension, I’m here to help you move easier and feel better in your day-to-day life.

Curious about the difference between dry needling and acupuncture?
Here’s a simple breakdown to help you choose what’s right for you 👇

Dry Needling focuses on releasing tight muscles, easing trigger points, and improving movement.
Acupuncture works on the body’s natural energy pathways, supporting relaxation, stress relief, and overall balance.

👉 And sometimes, I combine both.
I’ll use dry needling to target specific tight or painful areas, then add distal acupuncture points to help calm the nervous system and support whole-body wellbeing.
This integrated approach often provides deeper, longer-lasting relief and leaves you feeling more balanced overall.

If you’re unsure which treatment would suit you best, I’m always happy to guide you.
Send me a message or book your session today.

🩵 Client feedback like this means everything.

Every client walks in with a story — whether it’s pain that’s built up over time, tension that won’t go away, or a recent injury that’s stopped them doing what they love.

My goal in every session is to understand the why behind what’s happening, not just treat the surface symptoms.
That’s how real, lasting change happens.

If you’ve been living with discomfort or limited movement, it might be time to make that change too — your body will thank you for it. ☺️

That ‘knot’ you keep pressing on? It might be a trigger point. 😣

Trigger points are small, tight areas within a muscle that can cause pain locally — or refer pain to other parts of the body.
They often develop from muscle overuse, poor posture, or stress.

Left untreated, they can restrict movement, create weakness, and keep the body in a constant state of tension. 💥

Trigger Point Therapy helps release these areas, restore healthy blood flow, and reduce the pain cycle — so your body can move freely again.

It’s not just about easing pain — it’s about resetting how your muscles function. 🧬

Your neck might not be the problem 👀

We often chase pain in the neck, head or jaw…
But the cause?
➡️ Tight + overworked muscles in the chest and shoulders
➡️ Forward head posture
➡️ Stress and bracing patterns
➡️ Reduced mobility through the upper back

Your body is always compensating — sometimes too well.

In clinic, I assess beyond where it hurts so we can
treat the actual why behind your symptoms:

✅ Neck pain
✅ Headaches & migraines
✅ Shoulder restriction
✅ Jaw tension / clenching
✅ Posture-related discomfort

If you’re tired of chasing pain around your neck,
I’d love to help 👋🏼

This client booked in before a big race because a persistent leg issue wasn’t shifting.
After assessing what was causing the issue, I used a combination of:

• Needling
• Deep tissue work
• MET
• Trigger point therapy
• Hip flexor mobilisation and stretching

That mix of techniques made the difference and got everything moving properly again,
and they’re now back to training with confidence.

I genuinely love hearing how treatment is helping people — especially when it means they can get back to doing what they enjoy without pain holding them back.

Pain, tightness or recurring issues don’t always need rest — they need the right treatment.
If something keeps coming back, that’s your sign it isn’t resolving on its own.

Most people wait until pain becomes unbearable before getting help.
But pain is your body’s way of telling you something isn’t working as it should — it’s not just “age,” “stress,” or bad luck.

Whether it’s tightness that keeps coming back, limited movement, headaches, sore muscles or old injuries that never fully recovered — these things don’t fix themselves, they compensate. And compensation eventually becomes pain.

Soft Tissue Therapy and Acupuncture help by:
• Reducing pain and muscle tension
• Improving movement and joint function
• Treating the actual cause — not just easing the symptoms

If your body has been giving you the same signals for a while… it’s not going to stop on its own.

Still putting up with pain or tension? 😣

This is one of the techniques I use when muscles aren’t responding to massage alone. Acupuncture/Dry Needling targets the problem directly at the source — releasing deep trigger points and restoring normal function.
🤩

I then follow needling with hands-on deep tissue work, which helps the muscles relax further and improves results — my clients notice the difference straight away.

It’s ideal for:
✔ Neck or jaw pain
✔ Hamstring or calf tightness
✔ Shoulder or hip restriction
✔ Chronic tension that keeps coming back
✔ Headaches & migraines
✔ Stress-related pain or anxiety

If you’re feeling something that isn’t resolving on its own, your body is telling you it needs help.

Want to feel the difference for yourself? Drop me a message. 💬

A busy day in clinic working with a mix of pain, mobility and muscle dysfunction cases.

Some of the issues coming through recently include:

• Long-term muscle tightness affecting performance and movement
• Pain caused by compensation patterns and altered gait
• Restricted range of motion from previous injuries
• Soft tissue irritation linked to overuse and poor recovery

A lot of people assume these things will sort themselves out over time but when the body adapts around pain or imbalance, it often creates more problems elsewhere.

If you’re dealing with persistent pain, limited mobility or muscle tightness that keeps returning, it’s usually a sign that something deeper needs addressing.

Not sure what treatment you need? Just send a message
I’ll guide you!

Real results. Real people.

So many people wait months or years hoping pain will disappear on its own — and then feel a difference after just one session.

If you’re dealing with pain, tightness or limited movement (and you’ve been ignoring it), this is your sign to do something about it.

You don’t have to wait until it stops you from working, training or sleeping — I can help you get ahead of it.

💬 Message me with your concern and I’ll let you know if it’s something I can treat.

A look inside one of my treatment rooms — where I work with clients dealing with chronic pain, injury, dysfunction, and restricted movement.
I use a range of manual techniques, including Muscle Energy Technique (MET) and Post-Isometric Relaxation (PIR), to address soft tissue restrictions, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural healing processes.
If you're dealing with persistent discomfort or movement limitations, feel free to message me for a consultation or to learn more about how this approach could benefit you.
