I recently received this testimonial, on behalf of a client of mine, who has been suffering with severe period pains, as one of her symptoms of long covid:
"Positive Post
My daughter has suffered with Long Covid since December 2021. Her symptoms include fatigue, multiple food allergies that cause severe stomach pain and extreme menstrual pain. We found following the FOD map diet using the Monash university app really helped identify problem foods (though we still have many food issues) but the fatigue and extreme menstrual pain still persisted.
We tried all types of medication, mindfulness, PEMF matts, different vitamin combinations, probiotics etc nothing helped. We did see a reduction in pain after covid jabs but after a few weeks her symptoms returned and maybe even worse. She tried the contraceptive patch (as the tablets contained lactose) but she kept having breakthrough bleeds every 6 weeks. Also while trying the patch her fatigue seemed worse. Her pain would be so severe that she would need to use oramorph and has struggled going to school.
She tried acupuncture, with Su, for the past 4 weeks and has had a significant reduction in menstrual pain (see the numbers below). We don’t know if this has also positively affected her food intolerances as we are waiting to test them after her GCSEs. During this time we have not tried anything new, only acupuncture.
Here are my daughter's maximum pain numbers for each day of her period for the last 10 months. Her lowest number during her period never hit a 0 until after her acupuncture.

Please share this post with anyone you know, who might be in a similar situation, or is suffering from non Covid related period pains (whatever age they are and wherever they are!).
Acupuncture is an excellent mode of treatment for pain relief and, thankfully, there are many practitioners working across the UK, who would be happy to help. 🙏
