Far too many ambulance workers struggling to cope with their mental health are suffering alone. TASC's very tight charitable funds means we don’t have the resources to help everyone, leaving over 85 ambulance staff who urgently need support on our waiting list, and that number is growing.

What should I do if I'm at a red light and an emergency vehicle needs to get through?

We get asked this quite a lot so hopefully this explains.
Emergency 'blue light' vehicles have three exemptions in law. Speed limits, red lights and keep left signs.

If we are looking to make progress with blue lights and siren, we are asking you to let us through.

If possible, move over to somewhere safe and allow us past. There's no need to mount kerbs or verges or make sudden moves. We won't come past until we know you have seen us.
If you are at a red light and you can let us through, please do so but we don't want you to go through the red light, moving aside is fine but going through the light isn't. Doing so is an offence and you can be fined or receive points for doing it. Similarly, going through a red light and ending up in a collision could place liability on you.

If we can't make progress we do something called effective non-use. The lights stay on, the siren goes off. This is saying 'I'd like to come through when I can'.

Other helpful things to consider would be not stopping dead in your tracks. Often it's safer to keep going and let us pass in a safe place.

Stopping on a bend, the brow of a hill or directly opposite another vehicle makes it harder to get past too. In these situations it's better that you keep going until the road opens up and we can pass safely when we have a view.

The bottom line is, we don't want you to commit offences to let us through, just make it easier for us to get past if you can.

I am not the POC but have a client looking for minimum of 4 x First Aiders per day (which we don't supply) for a Festival 26, 27, 28 July in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Ideally he is looking for volunteers that would work a 10hr shift in exchange for entry to festival for other 2 days.

You will have the support of my team of Paramedics and Technicians on site for the full duration of the event.

If you are a First Aider looking to dip your toe in the water of event medical care do drop me a PM and I will put you in touch with the POC.

3 Days at GWAS.

One day - In a field with the Hummer H2 on StBy with Starlink for medcentre communications.

Next Day swap cars - onto a track day with the Aston Martin.

Then onto airfield cover crewing the frontline Ambulance for the third days.

An all-new event coming to the stunning , your chance to ride on the iconic grounds in a safe, traffic free environment.

Utilising a 13km (mainly gravel) loop - why not set yourself a challenge and see how may laps you can complete during the day, or simply come out and enjoy the day with friends and family. It's the perfect opportunity to raise money for your favourite charity and find out just how much fun you can have on two wheels.

The event will be supported by Discover Bikes, bringing you a range of bikes to try out (including ebikes and gravel bikes) with their mechanics on hand to give your bike a quick once over before taking it out on the course. The event village will also have a host of trade stands, along with refreshments to keep you going for the day.

This inaugural event promises to be a fantastic day out for families and solo cyclists alike.

ELECTRICIAN NEEDED URGENTLY.

Any Electricians out there that need a days work tomorrow on 1st fix with a futher date in a few weeks on 2nd fix as been let down by my guy due to personal reasons.

Its wire a 40Amp supply in for a Hob and an Oven plus a couple of sockets clear space and close to the distro panel.

Willing labourer in terms of me... or i can stay out of the way 😂 which is sometimes better.

Job is in GL2 Gloucester and its urgent i.e Tomorrow (Wed 13th)
