I was fortunate enough to do a 5 day trek in Peru to Machu Picchu with my family. From rocky paths to wet rainforest my North Face hiking trainers were amazing - all day comfort, water proof and not one blister even after only having them 2 weeks before the trip - would highly recommend

Yesterday I spoke at The Malvern Diabetic Foot Conference🦶

Topic: The use of local antibiotic delivery systems in the surgical management of osteomyelitis: the GWH experience

Really enjoyed sharing the stage with Royal College of Podiatry members Akram Uddin and Catherine Gooday. Was terrific to meet with a range of physicians, surgeons, podiatrists, orthotists, nursing staff and other allied health care professionals with a common interest in diabetic foot problems.

Diabetic foot is one of the main causes for in-patient treatment amongst the diabetic population and as always it is anticipated that the conference will improve current understanding of the disease, showcase the latest research, and act as a forum for the exchange of ideas.

As a registered podiatric surgeon in Australia, this proposed change is unhelpful and can potentially harm the public and public confidence, and indeed represents a backward step for regulation. The title has been present for almost 20 years, and the proposed change is at odds with other national and international health profession regulation...There is no clear evidence to support the assertions that advocate a change to title

Retain the "Podiatric Surgeon" title in Australia
