Happy National Pet Day! 🐾

Today we’re celebrating the incredible role pets play in our lives - offering comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. They truly become part of the family.

That’s why we welcome families to bring their loved one’s pets into our Chapel of Rest during visits and when saying goodbye. We understand just how meaningful it can be to have them there, sharing those final moments together.

A special farewell for Janine 🏒🤍

As she arrived for her celebration of life, friends and family stood proudly to form a hockey guard of honour, sticks raised high in the air for someone who had such a love for the game and who they loved so dearly.

An emotional and powerful moving tribute. It was an honour to capture a moment that meant so much to everyone there.

An appreciation post for our Bob! 👏

Over the years, many of you will have seen Bob, a true all-rounder and an integral part of Hillier.

We just want to say a huge thank you, Bob, and recognise everything you do, we appreciate you. 💚

Some conversations are easier side by side. 💬

We’re proud to be taking part in the Men’s Walk to Support with Prospect Hospice on Saturday 18th April.

This 8-mile fundraising walk, starting in Wroughton and finishing at County Ground, is all about encouraging men to talk and raising awareness for men’s mental health.

It’s a fantastic way to bring people from our community together, and you even get to enjoy going to a game at the end to watch Swindon Town Football Club vs Accrington Stanley! ⚽

Every step taken helps raise vital funds for an incredible cause supporting families across our community, with all proceeds going to Prospect.

If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:

Can you help Kingsdown Crematorium Swindon Borough Council with a special request? 🧸

They are currently in need of teddy bears to give to children attending a loved one’s funeral. It’s a small but incredibly meaningful gesture that can bring comfort and reassurance at a very difficult time.

If you have a teddy bear you can spare, it would make a real difference to a child who needs it most.

We were proud to sponsor an award at the BIG Highworth Community Foundation Awards Night last weekend. 🌟

Our wonderful colleagues Jo and Jerry attended on behalf of Hillier, presenting the Charity of the Year Award, pictured with Ollie, who won the Young Citizen of the year award. A fantastic achievement, well done!

It was a brilliant evening, celebrating so many inspiring individuals who do so much for the town and deserve to be recognised.

And if we do say so ourselves… Jo and Jerry scrubbed up very well! 😄
