*ABOUT ME*
My name is Elise Gilbert and I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in Sports Therapy BSc (Hons) in 2012. I have grown up around many sports and have carried out many such as dance, swimming, athletics and cheerleading, yet gymnastics has been the biggest part of my life. I started out as an artistic gymnast at the age of 6 competing at regional level until I changed disciplines and became a rhythmic gymnast. I then competed nationally as both an individual and group gymnast until the age of 21. I also had the opportunity to be a part of the Display team giving me the chance to travel and perform internationally around Europe doing dance and gymnastics. Now I try to stay involved in the sport by coaching recreational to international level gymnasts. Besides gymnastics, me and my cheerleading team from the University of Gloucestershire were successful in achieving several national titles in both the University and British open level competitions winning the opportunity to compete at the University World Championships in Orlando, Florida. In my spare time I take an interest in speedway, athletics and rugby following the 'cherry and whites' Gloucester.
*MY SPORTS THERAPY EXPERIENCES*
I have had the opportunity to work as a sports masseur at Gloucester Rugby Club whilst at University, as well as carrying out pitchside first aid for several University teams- Rugby Union, Rugby League and Football. Other pitchside first aid experience has been carried out in and around swindon, including Cricklade Rugby Club and several football clubs. I have also assisted physiotherapists in their clinic for a season; helping with injury assessment and treatment. At the start of the 2011-2012 I assisted with the pre-season screening for both Swindon Town Football Club and Newport Gwent Dragons RFC. I also worked as the head sports therapist for Hungerford FC, treating and assessing the players for 3 and a half years. My clinic has been up and running since 2012 treating athletes and public alike.
*MY AIM FOR TREATMENT*
I decided to do Sports Therapy due to the amount of treatment I have received over my sporting career. I think that it is essential to maintain a fit, healthy body for both your sport and your life. My aim is to return you to the level of fitness YOU wish to be at, whether you just want to be able to carry out every day activities or play competitive sport.

Cancellations
