Starting the year with a vision board is a wonderful idea for getting the year off to an inspirational start. Engage the imagination and dream away. See yourself realising your dreams to produce your board. Of course, we have no control of the future, however, it is always delightful to dream. My vision board below is my direction of travel in 2024.

Happy New Year! As Mother teresa said 'Spread love everywhere you go'.

Where is the space for peace? Who knows? It's there inside, but who looks there? The broken soul searching for something much more, Desperately needing a safe haven, a port in the storm. A place to strip down to bare bones and feel safe, To take a long look without fear of judgement and ridicule.

Finding and getting to know that safe sanctuary inside is wonderful. Wisdom comes from there.

Powerful reminder from 🙏🏽

Peace is not passive, it is mental clarity and compassion in action. Your healing not only benefits you and everyone you encounter, but it helps you make better and more humane decisions in a rapidly changing world.

Personal healing is important, but collective healing is also critical. Human beings do not live in a vacuum, our interconnectedness is what gives us the opportunity to thrive. It definitely helps the world when we heal ourselves, but we should also find ways to do our part to support movements for a better and more just world. When people move together around a common cause, history changes.

It is easy to recreate the harm that has happened to us if we never take the time to process it in a healthy way. This is why your healing is a gift to the people who will cross your path in the future.

The same way it is to your personal benefit to not harm others, it is also to your personal benefit for others to be safe from harm and have their material needs met. When more people can truly flourish, the shared happiness of humanity will also increase.

The mental clarity that comes after healing helps us engage more deeply with complexity, which is what we need to understand the issues in front of us so we can substantially decrease direct and indirect forms of harm.

Sending love to all. 🙏🏽🌎

It is no surprise if today we feel an accumulation of emotional and physical exhaustion from all that is happening in the world. The COVID pandemic and its enduring consequences for life is taking a tremendous toll. As if COVID is not enough, we have yet another horrific and senseless war in Ukraine causing loss of life and suffering and having a significant impact worldwide.

While those who can, actively do everything possible to physically support the Government and people of Ukraine, there are some things that we all can do daily:
Be present, aware and self-compassionate:
• take mindful and compassionate breaks when feeling overwhelmed;
• give the busy mind some rest by pausing and taking two or three deep breaths to become calm and grounded in the present moment;
• connect with the body to notice what sensations, feelings, emotions, and thoughts arise. Just notice without judgement or reaction, allow what arises to be as it is;
• connect with the authentic self and to be kind, give yourself what you need in that moment.

This pause from life on autopilot allows us to self-regulate and mindfully move forward with whatever CAN be done in the present moment.

Be present, aware, and compassionate to others:
• give attention and loving kindness to those around you;
• extend a helping hand to someone who is struggling;
• do whatever can be done to be kind.

Being mindful, compassionate, and kind in the present moment can bring calm to yourself and to all who are around you.

Join me in sending prayers and compassion with loving kindness to the Government and the people of Ukraine, wherever they may be in the world, and to all those who are suffering from the inhumane behaviour of an autocrat and bully.

May peace soon return to Ukraine. May we all be blessed with strength, courage, love, and compassion. 🙏

LIVE LIFE TRUE TO YOUR CORE VALUES
www.mentoringwithmindfulness.co.uk

Seek the wisdom from your inner depths to discover what you truly value in life. Recognise and accept that what you value may not be the same as those around you and allow that to be as it is.
Meeting your essential human needs and living in alignment with what you value most, will enable you to give yourself what you need and enhance well-being.
You may find that there are external obstacles (time, job responsibilities, money) and/or internal obstacles (fear of failure, doubting your abilities) which get in the way of living in alignment with what you value. Discover what these obstacles are and ask yourself if there is any way of expressing the un-met values that you have not already considered.
Go Well. Be Mindful, Kind and Compassionate

A HEALTHY, PEACEFUL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

In 2022, aspire to become at ease with Uncertainty, Imperfection and Impermanence - life itself.
The present moment is all we can know for sure, so Mindfully and Compassionately embrace the richness of each moment, whatever it brings.

May we be at ease with life, May we be healthy, May we find peace within.

Hello everyone, here is a mindfulness exercise that can help you to manage low mood, panic, mild anxiety and stress in the moment when it strikes unexpectedly.
STOP:
S: stop whatever you are doing
T: take some deep breaths making the out-breath longer than the in-breath.
O: observe sensations in the body, thoughts and feelings and allow whatever is there to be there. Place your hand on your heart to give soothing touch.
P: proceed mindfully with whatever can be done in that moment.
Just slowing yourself down and taking one deep breath can help! Try it.
There is so much more I can offer to help you through these very challenging times. Browse my website www.mentoringwithmindfulness.co.uk
Get in touch if you think I can help.
Stay safe and keep well. 🙏
