Over the last couple of weeks our main focus has been around how your nervous system interacts with the environment around you, primarily through play.
For our young families at the clinic there are 4 main reasons as to why unstructured play is important for your child:
1. To develop intrinsic interests and competency
2. To learn how to problem solve and follow social rules
3. Improve emotional regulation
4. To experience friendship & joy
Even as adults we should build in unstructured play time around a constructive hobby or exploring new environment's. Newness and challenge = adaptation.
