Can you sponsor our walkers? 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Please join us in wishing a huge good luck to Amanda, one of our Joint CEOs, and her daughter Ellie, who set off today to take on the mammouth 154km challenge of the West Highland Way.

These brilliant ladies will walk for 8 days in the hope of raising vital funds for Willows. If you are able to support them in their fundraising quest, we'd be very grateful.

⭐BOOK NOW - 5 hrs in-person CPD⭐

Are you a counsellor, psychotherapist, student therapist, or profession working with and managing risk?

If so, we welcome you to join us at our upcoming workshop, facilitated by the wonderful Katherine Caffrey.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Risk is a difficult and uncomfortable topic. When we are working with risk, we may have fears around getting things wrong or making things worse. We may struggle with the impact on our own mental health of managing clients with levels of self-harm or suicidal ideation. We may ourselves have experienced loss by su***de or our own risk in this area.

This training is designed to support counsellors and therapists in this difficult work, through presentation, discussion and some experiential work that should inform your practice, whether you are new to the profession or are an experienced practitioner, or if you encounter risk in other types of work.

The day will include the opportunity to:

- Explore our own beliefs around su***de and self-harm
- Examine risk assessment – the importance of asking the right questions in the right way
- Discuss breaking confidentiality and how to be more confident in when and how
- Look at the benefits and potential pitfalls of safety planning

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating our level 3 students who completed their course, the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) Certificate in Counselling Studies.

This course, alongside the demands of personal therapy and in depth personal development, equips candidates to build a solid foundation of counselling skills and theoretical knowledge. It also prepares candidates to take on the significant demands of the 2-year qualifying diploma.

Well done to our wonderful cohort, a day of celebration was well deserved!
