One year of doing it properly on my own 🎈

Easter weekend marked a full year since taking the leap and going fully self-employed. It’s a bit surreal looking back, especially after 14+ years in the industry leading up to it.

There’s been a lot of learning, a few challenges, and plenty of long days… but I’m genuinely grateful for every bit of it.

A big thank you to everyone who’s trusted me, supported me, recommended me, or even just liked and shared a post—it all means more than you probably realise.

Still learning, still building, and looking forward to what’s next 🙌

No pain, is the normal amount of pain.

Pain shouldn’t be something you just live with. No matter your age, background, job, lifestyle or fitness level. If something hurts, you deserve help.

The sooner an ache/injury is assessed, the quicker we can start getting you back to doing what you enjoy.

I’ve been treating from here for the past few weeks and it’s been brilliant — a calm, dedicated space designed entirely around your comfort and care.

December already 🎅

Arguably the best month of the year? Waking up, opening a little door (or window) and picking out whatever the little treat is.

Watching endless Christmas films (Die Hard is definitely a Christmas film). Saying “oh it’s Christmas!” Whilst sweeping any slight inconvenience under the rug.

It is a big month at The Injury Barn HQ. This is the month I’ll be launching the new clinic alongside All details will be announced and communicated in time.

Hopefully your December to-do list isn’t as big as the main man this month. Whatever you do this month, just remember to not forget about yourself.

“My ankle can roll when walking in a straight line!”

This is something I hear more often than you’d think. There is a reason for this happening, a lack of ankle stability, a loss of ankle proprioception. Previous injuries will definitely play a part in this, it’s usually a very easy fix as well.

Don’t let these ankle issues stop you from doing what you want to be doing.

There’s no so much thing as a ‘usual week’ or a ‘normal day’ in clinic.

There seems to be something in the water this week with people hurting their backs. From picking up a child to re-racking a weight. Driving countless hours for a meeting to seal a deal to twisting, turning and lifting bricks to build a wall.

There isn’t one mechanism, there isn’t a typical person. Sportspeople, brickies, salespeople, retired grandparents. One thing you won’t get here is a one size fits all approach.
