Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style focusing on deep stretches of connective tissues (ligaments, fascia) by holding floor-based poses for long durations (3-5 mins or more), emphasizing stillness, breath, and mindfulness to release tension, improve flexibility, calm the mind, and balance the body's energy (Qi/prana) flow, complementing more active "yang" practices.
