Received a lovely review from one of my former clients this week...

"I had a number of sessions a couple of years ago with Mark when I was experiencing some anxiety and a upsetting intrusive thought. I knew hypnotherapy worked as I had used it to help work confidence with a interview a number of years before but was not sure it would be able to help in this situation. Mark was absolutely amazing.
The way in which he explained how your mind works really helped me to understand what was happening. I had had some counselling before seeing Mark, which did help, but I was getting to the point where just talking was not enough!
I would highly recommend Mark to anyone suffering, his kind and caring nature is second to none and I know he changed my life for the better. Thank you Mark"

I come up with and use a lot of analogies when I'm helping people with mental health stuff, so I thought I'd share this one.
If you're overreacting to things, you could ask yourself this question,

"is this feeling still valid or is it years past its 'use by' date?"

We can hang on to feelings and emotions which may have been necessary during the original experience, but are they still of use or needed now? because, when the solution becomes a problem, it's probably not the solution anymore.

Don't exaggerate the small stuff into something bigger, let it go and move on, time is too valuable to waste on things that don't deserve it.

November has been an eventful month so far...
My new office is ready, I attended another excellent annual conference with my IAEBP colleagues, and this year the conference was extra special for me because I was awarded my Advanced Diploma 😀.
