Our New Swindon Care Home: Designed Proud to Announce Our New Renewable Energy Care Home!

We’re delighted to announce plans for our new care home in South Marston, Swindon, where sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

Designed to support up to 60 residents, this modern home will be powered largely by renewable energy, including solar panels and a ground source heat system. These innovations will help reduce environmental impact while maintaining a comfortable, high-quality living environment.

We’re excited to be part of Swindon’s greener future and to continue delivering the compassionate, high-quality care Coate Water Care is known for- People and the Planet!

We are absolutely delighted to share that Geraldine Smith, Co-Founder of Coate Water Care Co. Ltd, has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the WAGS: Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care 🌟 It is such a beautifully fitting moment, especially as we celebrate 30 incredible years of Coate Water Care this year 🎉

What began in 1995 as a single home has grown into nine homes across six counties 🏡💙 and at the heart of it all has been Geraldine. Mealtimes are such an important part of everyday life in our homes. They are moments not just for nourishment, but also for connection, comfort and joy. At Coate Water Care, we believe that EVERY MEAL SHOULD BE A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE where our residents feel cared for, valued and at home. 🥗💛
To make this possible, we have introduced the role of HOSPITALITY CHAMPION in each of our care homes. These amazing team members recently attended training at the CREED INNOVATION CENTRE in Cheltenham, learning how to support colleagues, enhance mealtime standards, and ensure that EVERY RESIDENT HAS A WONDERFUL DINING EXPERIENCE. 🎓✨

Our Hospitality Champions are helping us create a warm, welcoming and calming dining environment, encouraging independence and adding those little touches that make mealtimes special and memorable. They are at the heart of making meals more than just food on a plate—they are moments of joy, connection and celebration. 🥰🍽️
