Researchers at EPFL in Switzerland have engineered a novel hydrogel that could boost bone density by up to fivefold in just weeks.

This injectable formula, made from hyaluronic acid and hydroxyapatite, mimics natural bone minerals to significantly improve bone strength.

Preclinical trials in animals have shown encouraging outcomes, especially when combined with osteoporosis therapies, amplifying its impact.

While still under evaluation, planned human trials may unlock new possibilities for advanced bone health treatments.
