💚 What a night! 💚
⭐️Tonight we officially launched our Titanic Gentlemen’s Club Mental Health Mural, and what a powerful evening it was.⭐️
We were honoured to have
David Brooks MLA, Cllr Davy Douglas, Cllr. Sammy Douglas, Cllr Ruth Brooks, and Councillor Tracy Kelly Lord Mayor of Belfast in attendance. Special thanks to David Brooks and Jim Bailey for their incredible speeches, and to the Lord Mayor for officially unveiling the mural and cutting the ribbon. Your support means the world to us and to every man who walks through our doors.
1-2-3 DUP ✌️
Massive shoutout to the Titanic Ladies – Cheyanne, Lily, and Jacqueline for putting on a brilliant spread tonight, and to Jackie and Jacqueline for keeping the tea and coffee flowing all evening.💕
A big thanks as well to the lads who helped clean up the area and cut the grass in preparation that work often goes unnoticed but makes all the difference. And especially to Samuel, Michael, David Fawcett, who went above and beyond maintaining the space in the lead-up to the mural going up — yous are legends. 🙌
Huge appreciation to Think Sign & Print who helped us bring this mural to life on durable boards so it can be preserved and moved if needed. The quality is second to none. 💚
A special thank you has to go to Jim Bailey from EBCDA - East Belfast Community Development Agency. I honestly don’t know where to start with this amazing man. From day one, he’s been there supporting us financially, physically, and mentally. Tonight, he pulled together a moving PowerPoint featuring interviews with four of our members, sharing their thoughts on the mural, their personal struggles, and the future of the group. The whole room was in tears — and in stitches — thanks to those honest, powerful interviews. Jim also kindly funded this stunning mural artwork. ❤️💚💙
To the four lads who did the interviews — you’ve no idea how brave you were. Getting in front of a camera isn’t easy, but you spoke from the heart, and we’re all proud of you. 💬🎥
To everyone who turned up tonight, thank you. Your presence and support mean more than you know. Nights like this remind us that we’re not alone, and that there’s real strength in community. ❤️
And lastly but by no means least, a massive thank you to every single man in our group. You show up, you open up, and you built this project together. This mural is a symbol of your strength, your journey, and the hope we’re building every week. 💙
Here’s to the power of community, conversation, and courage. 💪💚
