Sometimes I feel like I’m just getting through the day.

I feel disconnected from myself.

Like I’m moving, speaking, functioning…
but not really there.

Sometimes I notice I’m stuck in the same patterns.

Carrying anxiety, sadness, or overwhelm quietly.

Smiling. Coping. Continuing.

These are some the reasons people seek therapy.

Not because they’re “falling apart.”Not because they’ve failed.
But because they’re tired of surviving.

Research and clinical experience increasingly show that many people don’t seek therapy in pursuit of happiness — they seek it for peace.

Peace from constant self-criticism. Peace from cultural expectations.
Peace from societal pressure to be productive, positive, and “together” at all times.

This is where psychotherapy and yoga meet......

🧠 Psychotherapy helps you understand why you feel the way you do.

🧘 Yoga helps your nervous system learn that it’s safe to soften and breathe again.

At Mindflex Wellbeing, I hold space for both.

You don’t need to fix yourself. You don’t need to be at breaking point.

You have the right to live more harmoniously — in your mind, body, and relationships.

🤍 If this resonates, my door is open......

⚠️Stress and anxiety aren’t the same thing.

Stress usually has a clear cause and settles when the pressure passes.

Anxiety often lingers — because it’s rooted in the nervous system, not just the situation.

In simple terms, anxiety follows this pattern:

Anxiety = perceived threat × perceived vulnerability ÷ perceived coping

When something feels threatening, we feel vulnerable, and our ability to cope feels low, anxiety rises. Not because we’re weak — but because the body is trying to protect us.

Anxiety is a survival mechanism. A learned response designed to keep us safe, even when the danger isn’t immediate anymore.

This is where yoga and psychotherapy can work beautifully together:

🧘Yoga helps regulate the nervous system, bringing the body out of survival mode

🧑‍🏫Psychotherapy helps explore thought patterns, past experiences, and self-criticism that keep anxiety alive

🙏Together, they increase our sense of safety and coping — which softens anxiety at its root

I share this not just from training, but from lived experience. Anxiety can still show up — and that doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong. It means we’re human.

If this resonates, support doesn’t have to be overwhelming or intense.

Gentle movement, compassionate exploration, and feeling truly heard can make a real difference.

✨ Classes and 1:1 therapy are available — you’re very welcome to reach out or join when it feels right for you 🙏

What's wrong with me?

✅Perfectionism.
✅People pleasing.
✅Anxiety.
✅Emotional numbness.
✅Hyper-vigilance.
✅Avoidance.

These are often treated as problems to fix.

But what if they were never flaws to begin with?

Many of the strategies adults struggle with are actually adaptations — intelligent responses to environments where safety, consistency or care were unpredictable.

In therapy, one of the most important shifts is moving from:
“What’s wrong with me?”to“What happened to me — and how did my nervous system learn to cope?”

A trauma-informed approach doesn’t ask:
“Why are you like this?”
It asks:
“What did your system learn it had to do to survive?”

Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken.
It’s about helping the nervous system learn that safety, choice, and connection are possible again.

“Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or questioning where your life is heading?”

“When life feels like too much, you don’t have to face it alone.”

“Are you surviving day to day, but longing for more freedom, clarity, and autonomy?”

“If modern life feels relentless and exhausting, this space is for you.”

I offer 1:1 online therapy as a Transactional Analysis psychotherapeutic counsellor, supporting individuals who feel anxious, low, burnt out, or unsure of their place in the world under the pressures of modern life.

I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore what’s going on for you, reflect on past experiences, and consider what the future may hold — walking alongside you when life feels too much.
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, anger, and life transitions, and I work affirmatively with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD & ASD), bringing lived experience.

I am a Level 7 postgraduate-trained counsellor and a BACP registered practitioner.

✨ I offer a free 15-minute consultation
