You’re Not Alone. If you’re feeling stressed right now, you’re definitely not the only one.

School, friendships, social media, expectations, it can all build up. And even if it looks like others are coping, many people feel the same way inside.

Talking about stress doesn’t make you weak, it makes things easier to manage.

Some days I wish I had the relentless energy she does…
Her battery always seems full, ready to run, explore, and keep going without hesitation.

Do you have days when yours feels like it’s running on empty?

Walking this path, watching her pause only briefly before bounding forward again, it made me think, we’re not meant to run at the same pace all the time. We’re not machines with endless charge. We’re human.

Some days you’ll feel motivated, energised, and unstoppable.
Other days, even the smallest step feels heavy.

And that’s okay.

Your worth isn’t measured by how “productive” you are or how full your battery feels. Rest isn’t failure, it’s part of the cycle.

So if today your battery is low, or in that midweek slump, if you’re moving slower than you’d like, or if you’re just getting through, it’s ok, that still counts.

Be gentle with yourself. Recharge without guilt.
You don’t have to keep up with anyone else’s pace.

Is your battery full today, or running on empty?

Signs of Stress. Stress doesn’t always look obvious. Sometimes it shows up in small ways such as,
• Feeling tired all the time
• Snapping at people more than usual
• Struggling to concentrate
• Headaches or tense muscles

Your body often tells you something is wrong before your mind does. So pay attention to your signals, they’re there to help you.

What is Stress? Do you ever feel your heart racing before a test or your mind going blank under pressure? That’s stress.

Stress is your body’s natural response to challenges, it’s designed to help you react quickly and stay alert. But when it sticks around for too long, it can affect your mood, sleep, and focus.
The goal isn’t to eliminate stress completely, it’s to learn how to manage it.

Happy Wednesday ☀️

April is Stress Awareness Month

Stress is something we all experience ,but it doesn’t always look the same for any one person, and it doesn’t always get talked about in the way it should.

Sometimes stress is obvious. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it builds up so slowly we don’t even realise how much we’re carrying.

This month is a chance to pause, check in, and remind ourselves (and each other) that we’re not alone in it.

For children, stress can show up in those big feelings, tears, frustration, anger, or even tummy aches before school. They might not have the words yet to explain what’s wrong, but that doesn’t make their feelings any less real. What they need most is patience, reassurance, and someone who will listen without rushing them. A calm conversation, a safe space, or even just sitting together can make such a big difference.

For teenagers, stress can feel like constant pressure, school, exams, friendships, social media, expectations about the future. It can feel like you have to hold everything together all the time. But you don’t. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to take breaks. It’s okay to ask for help, even if you’re not sure exactly what to say. You are not behind. You are learning, growing, and doing your best in a world that can feel overwhelming.

For adults, stress often becomes something we normalise, busy schedules, work demands, financial pressures, family responsibilities, the list can be endless, We tell ourselves “this is just life”… and keep pushing through. But constant stress takes its toll, both mentally and physically. You deserve more than just coping. You deserve rest, support, and moments of calm without guilt.

So, no matter your age, stress is a natural response, but you don’t have to face it alone, talking helps, even if it feels difficult at first. Those small steps matter, a walk, a break, a conversation, a deep breath. There is no “right” way or timeline to feel better.

This April isn’t about fixing everything overnight. It’s about awareness. It’s about kindness, towards yourself and others. It’s about noticing when something feels heavy, and not just ignoring it.

So take a moment today to check in. How am I feeling? What do I need? Who could I reach out to?

And maybe just as importantly, who around you might need that same check-in too?

Receiving messages like this truly reminds me why I do what I do 💛

Supporting children and their families is something I feel incredibly passionate about, and hearing that a child feels happier, more understood, and able to thrive makes every moment worthwhile. Building trust, creating a safe space, and helping little minds navigate big feelings is at the heart of everything I do.

I’m so grateful to the families who put their trust in me, it’s a privilege to be part of your child’s journey.

Goodbye March, Hello April…..

Before you welcome in the new, first you must release the old.

Let go of the clutter, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. Create space. Because it’s hard to welcome new opportunities when your hands and mind are already full.

Yes, letting go can feel uncomfortable, I get it. But growth doesn’t live in comfort, does it? It lives in courage.

So this is your reminder, Release what’s weighing you down, Say no when you need to, Speak up, share your voice louder, Be confident & stand strong in who you are.

Make space for what’s next ✨

Happy Tuesday 🙌 To all the parents and carers out there juggling the Easter holidays, work, childcare, activities… and that quiet pressure to make every day “fun” for the kids…

I see you. And I know it can feel like a lot.

The days are full, the expectations are high, and sometimes it feels like you’re being pulled in every direction at once.

So here’s your gentle reminder…….
You don’t have to do it all.

Take 5 minutes.
Sit down with a hot cuppa.
Step outside for some fresh air.
Pause.

Because you matter too ❤️. And yes those Jamie dodgers might just be my breakfast, don’t judge 🫣

I watched this last night and it was eye opening 👀

If we don’t raise showing our boys what healthy masculinity looks like, the internet will gladly do it for us.
Watching Louis Theroux 'Inside the Manosphere' tonight made me think about the conversations families need to be having right NOW with their teens.
The documentary shows how the influencers shaping young boys online were themselves shaped by unstable homes, fractured identities and unresolved pain. Instead of healing those wounds, some have built identities around controlling others particularly women while monetising the vulnerability of younger men searching for direction with similar childhood history.
It brings us back to family because
the strongest protection against these ideologies is love, connection and guidance at home. Boys need parents who talk openly about responsibility, emotional discipline, respect for women, purpose beyond 'status' and how to handle rejection and failure.
They need to see men around them who are calm, grounded and accountable not performative.
This conversation isn’t only for boys.
It’s for girls too as they would benefit from recognising unhealthy dynamics early before arrogance is mistaken for confidence,or control for leadership.
When influence is built on money, fame and dominance,it is not a foundation for healthy relationships or strong families.
For the many single mothers and fathers raising children often heroically this isn’t about finger pointing either.
It’s about balance.
Nurture your children deeply so they feel loved and secure.
Don’t mollycoddle them into entitlement.
Teach responsibility.
Teach boundaries.
Teach discipline.
Children learn far more from what we model than what we say.
No parent should feel they must do this alone.
Uncles.
Grandfathers.
Coaches.
Teachers.
Mentors.
Community matters..because the real danger of the manosphere isn’t just misogyny.
It’s that it pretends to be mentorship while exploiting boys who are searching for it.
Strong families raise strong children.
Independent thinkers.
Men who don’t need to degrade women to feel powerful, who don’t exploit boys' insecurities to build status.
As Frederick Douglass said:
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”
