We've published an update on the meningitis outbreak and what it means for Scotland.

There are currently no cases known to be linked to this outbreak in Scotland and therefore no evidence of any increased risk here.

In Scotland, all young people are offered the MenACWY vaccine in secondary school (S3).
If you’re under 25 and haven’t had it yet, there’s still time. Contact your local immunisation team to book your appointment: nhsinform.scot/gettingvaccinations

Remember, the MenACWY vaccine protects against some types of meningitis, but not all, so it’s still important to know the signs and symptoms.

We appreciate some people can be anxious coming for a smear - if you want a phone conversation with a practice nurse prior to coming, please phone reception to arrange

Monday 6th April 2026 - This is a public holiday but we are doing an 'informal' day where we will be open for pre-booked appointments ONLY but we will NOT have our phones open that day and will not be dealing with any urgent matters. You will be able to order/collect prescriptions from us.

good morning, as we continue with this cold weather 🥶just a reminder to mind how you go, this morning the junction from Craighill terrace into the health centre is very slippy and icy with deep snow underneath. Please let us know if you cant make your appt or wish a phone call instead and we can accommodate this no problem thanks ❄️☃️

The local roads and pavements remain very tricky to navigate with fresh snow and rain overnight on top of ice underneath making it very slippy out. Please let us know if you wish to reschedule your appointment or have a phone call instead - this is no problem. ❄️
