Don’t zoom in 🤣 I know they are not brilliant… Yet 🤩
If you search for a sewing pattern for a manikin jacket I doubt you’ll find one… I know because I looked 😂 so I spent the weekend making my own! This is mock up no4! Almost there!!
I posted onto a sewing page for a little fabric advice and the first comment was…
“Just asking, Why?”
Fair question!
So yeah, why? Why do these plastic dolls need clothing? It’s not like they get cold in the garage! 🤷♀️
I don’t have an official stat but I’m pretty sure the majority of people who need CPR aren’t already topless, they’re clothed and if they are female they likely will have a bra on too.
It wouldn’t be right to practice on unclothed manikins and then expect our learners to know what to do when the person they need to give CPR to is fully clothed. How would they know at what point to remove clothing? How do we talk about the importance of removing a bra for defib pad placement and break that stigma if there isn’t one?
So the clothes are not to keep Brenda, Alan, Karen, Dave and the rest of the family warm, they actually do have a purpose!
To make CPR training as lifelike as possible!
