What has happened in life that has lead you to this point?
Do you need a safe space to talk it through?
Time to think it over?
To stop pushing it to the side?
Just to be able to say it out loud to someone that will actually listen?

Independent professional counselling service.

Most therapy takes place within a block of 6 to 8 sessions.

The first sessions (the beginning) are about you being able to speak freely about what has lead you to the point of wanting counselling. What has happened in life for you to reach this point. Looking at coping techniques and strategies for you to feel more secure and confident in your everyday current life.

The next sessions (the middle part) is where you are able to break down all the different aspects of life individually, giving you the breathing space and time to reflect on how they affect you. They are all interlinked but when broken down into a more logical or emotional pathway it can give the sense of being in control.

The last sessions (the ending) are about how to move forward in life. Knowing which aspects of life you are more aware of and want to work on as an individual. Having control over change, with a sense of positive growth is empowering.

Although there are no set number of sessions or insistency on frequency. Most people may start off coming every week or fortnight, but then do monthly check in sessions, or every 3 – 6 months mental wellbeing session.

Block bookings can be purchased of 6 sessions for £200.

If you would like more information or want to book an initial session, please get in touch.

It’s ok to admit you are not ok. Grief as a passage is not a place to stay and one of the hardest things about grief is that the person you need to talk to and seek solace from is the person who is no longer there.
Talking to someone independent can help. It can provide a safe space for you to talk freely about how you are feeling. It offers a time when you don’t need to hold it all in and the brave face can drop.

As we start to think about returning to normal following lockdown, are your thoughts turning towards what parts of that life do you want to have back?

Would you like to talk about options and choices in a safe way?

Where you will not be judged?

Where you can say out loud how you really feel?

Where your mind can really focus on how you feel about something rather than being faced with lifes obstacles?

Just because my room is temporarily closed doesn’t mean you can’t access therapy.
Telephone therapy can be incredibly effective, positive and convenient. From the comfort of your own relaxed environment (be that a room, your car or outside space) saving you time, money and effort, with the added discretion of just being on the phone.
No technical issues of internet connections or the distraction of seeing yourself on screen. It may feel a little different initially but after that first ‘hello’ the nervousness will disappear.
Telephone therapy is NOT the poor relative of traditional face to face therapy. Research has shown it to be just as effective, supportive and positive in its results.
If you still feel unsure about it but would want to know more just get in touch with me either by email or text and I will be more than happy to help in any way that I can.

Are there times when you just want to feel happy.

You can't explain why you don't feel happy, you can't quite put your finger on it but it's just not there.

You question if it's the last thing you saw on tv or music you listened to, or is it the last time you saw someone and what was said?

It might not be any one specific thing but it's now creeping into everyday life. You are starting to question things that were never there before.

That feeling of dread, coldness and darkness are descending. You know they are there but really don't want or need them in your life.

If you could just talk it through, but you don't want to burden friends who are busy and you don't them to feel you are just moaning and unhappy all the time. After all you are normally the life and soul, and the organiser of life.

You don't want to worry family, they have their own problems. You can't mention it at work as they'll start thinking you can't do your job properly.

If you could just take that break from life and to be able to solely concentrate on you.

No distractions, no judgements, no opinions, no 'I told you so' just you and all of your thoughts.

Time for you to think without worrying what the other person may think about what you say or feel.

Somewhere comfortable, quiet, unpretentious and to be safe in the knowledge that no ones else needs to know I'm there or what I say.

I can provide that safe breathing space and I can provide that unconditional listening.

If any of the above has touched you in any way please do get in touch for that initial chat. You've made the hardest step already by reading this and thinking about you.
