✨ Breastfeeding & Expressing – What You Should Know ✨
Did you know that the amount of milk you can express with a pump does not reflect your actual milk supply? 💡
🍼Babies are generally far more effective at removing milk than a pump.
🍼 Pumping output can vary depending on time of day, pump fit, suction settings, and even how relaxed you feel.
🍼 A “low” pumping volume doesn’t always mean your body isn’t making enough milk for your baby. Your body responds differently to your baby and pump so you really need to fall in love with your pump to ‘let down’ milk to it!
📌 Key takeaway: The best indicator of whether your baby is getting enough milk is their growth, plenty of wet and soiled nappies, and overall wellbeing – not the volume you pump! 💕
Be kind to yourself – pumping is a skill and every journey looks different. You’re doing amazing. 💪🌸
