🐥What an absolutely brilliant day yesterday at Standon House! 🐑

We were visited by Farm on Wheels, and joined by the wonderful children from Anker Bridge Nursery - and it's safe to say it was a hit all round!

Lambs, goats, chicks, rats, and bunnies all made an appearance🐣🐇 - our residents absolutely loved every moment of it, and watching the children's faces light up was something really special.

Educational, entertaining, and just pure joy from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Farm on Wheels and Anker Bridge Nursery for making it such a memorable afternoon - we hope to see you both again soon! ❤️

What a wonderful way to end the Easter weekend! 🎶

Yesterday we were treated to a brilliant performance from the incredibly talented Paulo Pinto, bringing a taste of Portugal to Standon House!

The room was full of smiles, tapping feet, and plenty of singing along - residents, families, and staff all loved every moment of it. 😊

Easter is such a meaningful time of year - a chance to reflect, count our blessings, and enjoy the company of the people we love.

We hope all of our residents, families, and staff have had a truly wonderful weekend, full of lovely food and plenty of chocolate! 🍫

🎤 Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting the incredible D-Day Darlings here at Standon House - and what an afternoon it was! 🎶

Demand was so high we struggled to fit everyone in who wanted to come - we did our best to make the most of the space we had, and we hope everyone who was there had the best possible view! 😊

The home was absolutely buzzing - residents, families, visitors and staff alike were smiling, tapping their feet, and singing along from start to finish. We know it meant the world to so many people in here.

💐 Happy Mother's Day from Standon House💐

This weekend we had a beautiful Mother's Day get-together here at Standon, and it was a reminder of just how special our ladies are.
So many of them are mothers, and grandmothers, and great-grandmothers - and the love in the home was something else. We hope every one of them felt celebrated and, not just on Sunday.

To all the mums, and to all the families who made the day special - thank you. 🤍

On Friday we had the pleasure of celebrating Evelyne’s 91st birthday here at Standon House.

Evelyne enjoyed a lovely day marked with birthday cake and a present, and a lovely tea party with her daughter and friends to mark the occasion.

✨ This Week at Standon ✨

We kicked things off with a wonderful visit from Anker Bridge Nursery 👶🏻👧🏼🧒🏽 The little ones brought so much joy and laughter 💕
Our exercise class got everyone moving 💪 and our green-thumbs enjoyed planting cress 🌱We made sausage rolls and pizzas 🥐🍕 Bingo was, as always, a firm favourite! 🎰🏆We were treated to beautiful music from Simon the Vintage Singer 🎤🎶 and finished the week with a lovely Valentine's party and crafts 💝🌹🎨

Huge thanks to our amazing team for bringing it all together! 💙
