An accountability buddy helps the other person to keep to their commitments, supplies feedback, and ensures that both parties stay on track to take action. Here are some of my top tips based off my own experience.
📅 Have a regular time to talk. My phone call is on a Friday at 5pm.
💭 Establish what you need:
Is it time to talk and think for you?
Is it to bounce off new ideas?
Is it that you are working alone and need the support?
🤩 Be positive to empower your ‘Buddy’ to succeed but be challenging and honest.
⏱️ Be clear on your parameters. Allow equal amounts of time to brainstorm (we have 15 mins each) followed by approximately 10 mins feedback.
🎯 You will have short term and long term goals which will look like this on your action plan.
