Sitting in our very own garden pub feeling rather smug!
As of today, 1st June 2025, it is now illegal to prescribe botulinum toxin (Botox) without a face to face consultation.
I take pride knowing that I have never prescribed without meeting you first, I’ve been doing it the right way all along….. why?…….. because that’s what safe, ethical practice looks like……. And now it’s the only way 🙌🏼

Happy international day of the midwife 5th May 2025 to all my colleagues.

I couldn’t let the day pass without saying what a honour it has been to practise midwifery for the last 31 years. With so many transferable skills that I use within my aesthetics practice….. empowering women to embrace confidence, feel supported & to be truly seen.

Thought it would be apt to share my “Call the midwife” costume ready for an event this June!

So I have always practised face to face consultations prior to any anti-wrinkle treatment.
From 1st June 2025 non face to face will be PROHIBITED and failure to comply with this can lead to a fitness to practice investigation led by the NMC.
I am a nurse prescriber, regulated by the NMC.
I also choose to be Saveface registered and a member of BAMAN & ACE…….. your safety is my priority!

So 31 years ago today I started my midwifery training. (Where has the time gone)

Patients often ask me if I miss it, most of you know I do 1 shift a month to keep my hand in, so to speak. Unfortunately it has changed over the years and I choose to work within a homebirth team or a birth centre as you are more likely to be able to give the care women deserve.

My role is a little different now, however the midwifery/nursing is part of me & my identity. I re-register every year and revalidate every 3 years with the NMC (midwifery & my nurse prescribing). My nursing background is at essence with everything I do in aesthetics….. keeping you safe, helping people, boosting confidence….. a little therapy in my room( if you know, you know). My passion will always be for caring for people & helping them feel better, no matter what setting ❤️
