Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our wonderful patients🎄🎁❤️

We want to thank you all for being apart of our 2025, whether you have just joined us, or return year after year, we never take for granted the continued trust you place in us to keep your eyes happy and healthy.

The practice is now closed until Friday 2nd January to allow our incredible team a well deserved break. If you require assessment during this time for an urgent issue, please contact NHS 111 who will be able to advise you on alternative provisions to tide you over until we reopen.

Wishing you a bright end to the year and a wonderful start to 2026, we look forward to seeing you soon⭐️

Day 19 of Peppers *not* mischief.. it’s donation day! ❤️🎁

We want to say a massive thank you to all our wonderful patients who have donated items to the Christmas collection for Tamworth Foodbank.

Pepper took the day off causing mayhem to make sure it got delivered safely and in time to be distributed for the big day! ❤️

Do headlights bother you when driving at night? 🚗😵‍💫

We see an abundance of clips circling around online during the darker months poking fun at the difficulties bright head lights can bring, but did you know it can be a sign that you have an astigmatism?

Our optometrist Maz breaks down astigmatism, why those lights look so intense, and how regular eye tests can keep your vision clear and comfortable 👁️

Day 13 of Peppers mischief.. 🎶I came in on the Marsden Ball🎶

This swinging ball is more than just a toy though, it’s an activity our Vision Therapist Fatema uses during sessions to help train eye tracking, focus, and visual-motor skills.

Vision therapy is part of behavioural optometry, which looks at how the eyes work together with the brain to support learning, movement, and everyday life. And Pepper rates it 5 stars as the activities make it fun and enjoyable for little ones⭐️

As Pepper has ‘kindly’ brought to our attention today.. lots of you seem to be taking advantage of our contact lens recycling ♻️👁️

We are proud to partner with Acuvue on their sustainability scheme that encourages contact lens users to be mindful of the waste, especially if you’re a daily wearer. With one of their great initiatives being these drop-off boxes for items that can’t be recycled at home, such as blister packs, foils, and contact lenses.

Please remember to bring your used items on your next visit, the planet (and Pepper, for the opportunity to cause chaos) will thank you🌍💚

Day 8 of Peppers mischief.. the Christmas foodbank donations come in handy for a game of bowling🎳

A few weeks ago our director and Neuro-Developmental Optometrist, Maz, travelled to London to attend the first-ever UK clinical skills course by the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association(NORA)✍🏼🧠👁️

As a practice already offering behavioural optometry, this was an invaluable opportunity to deepen our understanding of how neurological conditions impact vision and daily life. Ongoing education like this helps us continue to grow our expertise and provide even more holistic, patient-centred care.

Maz also took part in the specialised Visual Snow course, learning the latest research and therapeutic approaches to support those living with Visual Snow Syndrome.

We look forward to applying this advanced training to elevate the care we provide, and can’t wait to share the next steps of our journey with you in 2026🌟
